The Best of PASIC 2006 is a collection featuring some of our composers who worked at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention 2006 in Austin, Texas.
We had an idea: why not write original music while working the convention? For a small fee, people could choose the instrument and a few other qualifications about our new compositions. In return, we gave them a copy at the convention of the piece we wrote. We also are including their names in this collection.
The Best of PASIC 2006 collection contains the following:
Works by Bryan Scott Stanbridge
- Sandpiper for four-mallet marimba [Jordan Randolph]
- Osiris for xylophone [Nathan Sankary]
- Bombast for four tom-toms (sticks, fingers, brushes and rute) [Emilio Buonanni]
- Flatline for bongos (sticks and hands) [Bill Sallak]
Works by Robert McClure
- Rainfalls for four-mallet marimba [Chris Anderson]
- Explode for four tom-toms [Alissa Kirk]
This collection marks the first in our eventual series of PASIC compositions. If you are interested in more information about our PASIC compositions and our PASIC offerings, please see our
