tambourine, conga drums, high agogo bells, low agogo bells, hi-hat, ride cymbal, large and small crash cymbals, china cymbal, snare drum, vibraphone, two marimbas, electric bass (fretted or fretless).
Performance Notes
Although it is possible to play without any amplification (except for the electric bass), Wheel Turning Forward is most effectively performed with some sound reinforcement for the marimbas (and possibly vibraphone) so that the non-pitched percussion players can play at a more comfortable dynamic level. The bass part may be done with an acoustic bass.
